Julieta and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary in October. The entire weekend was a surprise. I took her to the Blue Boar Inn in Midway on Friday. The next day, we went horseback riding in the morning and received couples messages in Park City. It was an anniversary that will be hard to beat. Click here for all the photos .

It looks like my team's (Dallas Cowboys) season has come down to not earning a playoff spot. The last few weeks they've played horribly. I have to honestly say that they do not a deserve a playoff spot. Hopefully they will make some changes, somewhere, anywhere, and come out a stronger and better team next year. Here's to hope!

I took the family today to buy a new cordless phone for our house to replace the set we bought when we moved in 3 years ago (and in desparate need of replacement). We found a set at Sam's Club that had something I had never seen before, and was their only model that had it. Bluetooth connectivity to my cellphone. Basically, once the base is paired to my charging-nearby cellphone, I can use any of the 3 included handsets to make calls through my cell phone service. I was psyched as I would be able to keep my cellphone charging while using it and not have to be tethered to the wall. And I found that I can use the cordless handset to make calls through my cellphone while my home line is in use. For those interested, it is a $90 at&t set. Specs can be found here . The one at Sam's Club had 3 total handsets whereas the linked model only has two.

While watching dinosaur videos on YouTube with my son, I came across some hilarious commercials from Canada advertising Milk. The series is called "Survival of the Fittest" and features cavemen and dinosaurs. They are definately worth watching and can all be found here . I will embed my favorite:

I took the family to this almost out of theatres, largely ignored thanks to The Dark Knight, only playing in at Megaplex 20 at The District that I could tell movie and we loved it. My son loved the monkeys and the different aliens they met. The voice acting was superb and probably some of the best I've seen in a CGI animated movie. The story we well-developed and complete. I say largely ingnored thanks to The Dark Knight because it came out the same weekend and has only garned $20 million. I promise that you'll get your monkeys, err moneys worth so go quickly before it's too late!

Julieta and I went to this movie and we both had an awesome time. It's a 3D movie and well worth the extra $2.00 or so you pay for the glasses. I hope there will be more 3D movies like this made in the future. The Dark Knight would have rocked the house in 3D.

If you haven't already, go see this movie. My wife and I and our friends Aaron and Sarai really enjoyed it. I have to admit, however, that I enjoyed it more after I've had a couple days to think about it. This new Batman isn't like any other. He doesn't have an elaborate Batcave with elaborate Batmobiles and Batgadgets. He's actually quite un-fantastic. He brings a great closeness to being a human being than previous versions have. And even Gotham could be an actual city. Actually, I see it as a city without real gun-rights and a high rate of crime, like Chicago, New York, San Fransisco, and Washington DC. Although Batman has gadgets, they aren't branded like his gadgets usually are. I especially like his car, the Tumbler, and how it's a model of function over form. His suit is this way as well. This movie is definitely one of the best to come out this year. If you haven't seen it it, GO NOW! And take your kids. You and them will absolutely love it. It won't be in the theatres that much longer so you better hurry, as movies that are worth seeing must been seen in the theatre.

We saw Hellboy II this weekend and although I liked the first one, this one was a snoozer. It had too many weird characters and I found myself drifting to sleep more than once. The first one I enjoyed and recommend it, but not the second. At least not in the theatre; rent it if you must see it.

A few months ago, I visited LifeLock.com and signed up every member of my family. Shortly after, my wife and I went to RC Willey to add her to my credit account. As soon as we walked away from filling out the application my cell phone rang.
